7:15 a.m. Breakfast at Orono High School
7:48 a.m.-2:15 a.m. Classes and lunch at Orono High School or UMaine
2:30-4:30 p.m. Extracurricular activity period
4:30-10 p.m.* Dinner, homework and activities
10 p.m. Curfew (in room)
11 p.m. Lights out
*During the self-study time (4:30-10p.m.), student may complete homework, study for tests, do laundry, visit the Recreation Center, attend UMaine and OHS events, and spend time with their host family and new friends.

Automatic acceptance to the University of Maine "No TOEFL test required , No SAT required"
International students attending Orono High School are eilgible to be admitted to the University of Maine and receive a renewable scholarship of $5,000 or more per year (for as many as four years, subject to meeting all scholarship requirements) based on the following criteria:
- 3.00 GPA (85 average) or better from Orono High School
- 3.00 GPA (85 average) or better in English courses at Orono High School
- A letter of recommendation from the Orono High School English teacher, principal or International Student Coordinator (recommending a waiver of English proficiency)
